Key Features
The Grain Drum Pendant from Ravenhill Studio offers a refined and organic style. A fabricator in L.A. told the brand that traces of wood grain from the metal-spinning tool could be seen in the finished parts. Leaning into this, a pattern maker helped create custum molds from maple boards, sandblasted to raise the wood grain. The molds are then spun on a lathe at the same speed as a sheet of aluminum, forming around the mold to add the grain pattern to the pendant's shade. The result is a contemporary and comforting appearance that fits most settings.
Ravenhill Studio is redefining American craft with lighting designs that unite timeless artistry and sustainable innovation. Rooted in responsibility and inclusivity, Ravenhill Studio creates pieces that inspire, endure, and illuminate stories—craftsmanship guaranteed for life.
